Patrick J. Glennon, Jr.
Patrick J. Glennon, Jr 93, of Malta, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012. Born in Schenectady, March 14, 1918, he was the son of the late Patrick and Loretta Glennon, Sr. Patrick was an Army veteran of World War II. He served in Africa and Europe and earned six battle stars and one arrowhead.
He was a graduate of St Columbus High School in Schenectady and Duquesne University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. In high school and college he played baseball and also played semi-pro baseball in Schenectady and Pittsburgh. Patrick was a field representative and district manager for ASCAP for 33 years.
He was a communicant of St Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballston Spa and a member of VFW 6196 in Glens Falls. He was an active member of the Malta Seniors. He enjoyed watching the Military Channel and going to the Racino.
He was predeceased by his sister Eileen Coons. Patrick is survived by his wife, Thelma Lorraine Moore Glennon, daughter, Patricia Waldron (Edward) of Waltham, MA, stepson, Frank Capobianco MD, of Sacramento, CA, three stepgrandsons, Frank, Michael and Mark Capobianco all of Sacramento, CA, close friend, Evan Tublitz of Mechanicville and his beloved cat, Chloe.
A memorial mass will be held 9:30am Monday, February 6, at St Mary’s Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa. Memorial contributions may be made to the Malta Ambulance Corp, PO Box 2470, Malta, NY 12020.
