Daniel Pompa

Daniel Pompa 89 of Saratoga Springs, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012 at his home. Born in Glenham, NY, July 5, 1922, he was the son of the late John and Susan Pompa, Sr. He moved to the Town of Malta at the age of 12. Dan and his brothers owned and operated Pompa Bros. He was a communicant of St Mary’s Church in Ballston Spa.

He was predeceased by his brothers, John, Stephen, and Nelson Pompa and his sister, Mary Vieweg. Dan is survived by his wife, Noreen Pompa and his sister, Cecelia Kimmey of Malta, several brothers in law and sisters in law, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services 10:30am Tuesday, May 8, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Burial will be private. At Dan’s request, there will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions may be made to St Mary’s Church, 167 Milton Avenue, Ballston Spa, NY 12020 or the charity of your choice.

The family invites you to join them for a reception at the Ballston Spa Elks, 10 Hamilton Street, Ballston Spa immediately following the service.

To Noreen, Agnes, Marianne and Bill, Ed and Nancy and Pompa Brothers, Please accept my sincere condolences in the death of Dan Pompa. I will always remember Dan who made such a difference in our community along with his brother Nelson who predeceased him.

All sadness aside for just a moment, lets picture Fred and Barney together again doing their first job, paving the streets of heaven Pompa Style.
